The Double Peak Music program was designed by Charlie McGhee and Carly Ines. It is a musical offering for the entire student body of Double Peak, and it is like no other!
Every student from T-K through 5th grade receive music lessons twice a week by experienced credentialed Music teachers. These lessons include exploring composers and their music, singing, movement, note reading, rhythm skills and reading, composing music, exploring instrument families while getting hands on experience playing instruments from those families and finally offering your student to choose an instrument of their own and begin the life changing experience of playing in Band!
This program is an articulated program beginning in Transitional Kindergarten and it is designed to build on itself every year so by the time your student is ready to start playing a music instrument she will be very well rounded in musical skills and prepared to succeed.
