Third Grade Overview
Third grade is an exciting year in our music program, because students will really start applying all their learning.
All third graders will spend a unit playing the recorder, followed by a unit playing the violin!
| Solfege | Singing solfege syllables (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti, do) Using all accompanying hand signals. Singing intervals using solfege. Singing corresponding notes with written solfege syllables (ex: do re mi mi do) |

| Listening | Weekly listening to a wide range of composers from the baroque, classical, and romantic music eras.
